2 pounds (906 grams) of 100% whole, dried turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) caps. Contains no stipe (stem) and no substrate. Caps are the colorful and familiar spore-producing fruitbodies that you can find in forests throughout the world.
Cultivated organically on northern hardwood sawdust that is inoculated with spawn made from organic, locally grown oats. Grown outdoors under shade cloth. Dried in the sun for 1-2 days to maximize vitamin D content, then is finished in the dehydrator at 145 F before sealing. Also known as Coriolus versicolor, Yun Zhi, Kawaratake.
These mushrooms are used by making tea or broth. Simmer the mushrooms for about an hour, then strain them out and discard. Keep the tea/broth in the refrigerator.
